Position Overview
Fidelity Vacancies is seeking a skilled Technician (Installations, Service) to perform the installation, maintenance, and servicing of electronic security systems at commercial and industrial premises. This role involves working with alarms, access control, CCTV, fire systems, and associated electrical and network equipment.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Matric or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an electronic security technician
• Proven experience in programming, wiring, installations, and fault-finding
• PSIRA registration (Grade E, D, or C)
• Valid code 08 driver’s licence

Key Job Requirements

• Install and program multiple alarm systems (Ajax, Paradox, Texecom, Caddx, IDS, DSC, Rhino, Risco)
• Install and maintain electric fences
• Work with smart CCTV systems, including line crossing, facial recognition, and street surveillance
• Integrate electric fencing, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems
• Setup and maintain wireless, fibre, and copper networks
• Install basic electrical equipment such as DB boards, inverters, UPSs, and generators
• Oversee and design larger projects
• Provide IT and network support as needed
• Install and maintain access control systems (Biometric, UHF, facial recognition, access cards)

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Program systems according to specifications
• Plan and coordinate cable runs with wiremen
• Obtain customer codes before attending service calls and standby duties
• Complete handovers, job cards, and technical reports after each installation
• Provide timely feedback to Manager, Supervisor, and Call Centre
• Maintain stock levels and assist store personnel with stock takes
• Keep company vehicles clean and roadworthy
• Submit petrol slips promptly
