Business Efficiency Manager – Clicks Group Careers
Role Purpose
The Business Efficiency Manager is responsible for leading and enabling key finance transformation initiatives within UPD. This role drives business readiness, process optimisation, and system integration across multiple business units, supporting rapid expansion while ensuring scalable, compliant, and efficient finance operations.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and support finance transformation initiatives that enable current and future business growth.

Design and implement scalable, efficient, and compliant finance systems and processes aligned to evolving business complexity.

Develop and execute efficiency agendas to streamline operations, improve productivity, and enhance customer service.

Perform detailed analysis of end-to-end business processes to identify optimisation and transformation opportunities.

Lead innovation, expansion, and capacity improvement projects to maximise operational effectiveness.

Improve business process effectiveness to reduce waste and align performance with defined KPIs.
Project and Programme Ownership
Gross Profit Process Ownership
-
Lead the transition and handover of Gross Profit processes, ensuring full documentation, testing, and business sign-off.

Act as the Subject Matter Expert for Gross Profit processes.

Develop and deliver training materials and user guides.
-
Support finance teams in Gross Profit recovery and embed sustainable processes.
SAP GRC (Soterion) Implementation
-
Partner with stakeholders to deliver SAP GRC implementation within agreed scope, timelines, and budget.

Own post-go-live roles, authorisations, and governance controls.
-
Ensure compliance with group policies and regulatory requirements.
S/4HANA Group Transition

Support the transition to the Group S/4HANA platform.

Act as a finance and technical liaison between IT and Finance teams.

Drive business readiness, change management, and user adoption.
Growth and Operational Enablement
-
Enable transformation of new and expanding operations to support sales growth.

Identify and mitigate risks arising from fragmented ERP systems or manual processes.
-
Design and implement scalable solutions to protect financial integrity.
-
Evaluate the feasibility of dedicated SAP instances where required.
Strategic Integration and Scalability

Support the integration of newly acquired entities into the UPD operating model.
-
Ensure systems and processes are scalable and adaptable for future growth.
Governance, Stakeholder Management and Reporting
-
Maintain appropriate master data governance and segregation of duties.
-
Document business processes and improvements with supporting training materials.
-
Ensure go-live readiness for business initiatives.
-
Deliver efficiency improvements that increase throughput and reduce costs.
-
Define process metrics and KPIs with supporting finance dashboards and analytical tools.
Minimum Requirements
Skills and Abilities

Proven experience in Finance, Procurement, Business Analysis, and Change Management

Strong project management capability in fast-paced environments

Advanced SAP expertise, particularly S/4HANA and GRC (Soterion)

Experience designing and implementing customised ERP solutions

Excellent communication, training, and stakeholder engagement skills

Strong ability to drive change, adoption, and sustainable process improvement

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge

Deep SAP S/4HANA finance and cross-module knowledge

SAP governance and end-to-end project delivery lifecycle expertise

Strong finance and accounting knowledge, including P&L and balance sheet mechanics

Change management and business readiness principles

Business process modelling and critical path management

Instructional and procedural documentation development is advantageous

Education and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field

SAP certification in S/4HANA and GRC

Six Sigma Black Belt qualification
