Job Description
Truworths is seeking a skilled Planner to join our Buying and Planning teams, leveraging the latest merchandise systems to drive sales forecasting, financial management, and strategic product planning. This role is central to ensuring the right products are available in the right stores at the right time, maximizing profitability and operational efficiency. The Planner will collaborate closely with Buyers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to execute product strategies from concept to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Merchandise Buyers and suppliers to align on product assortment and delivery schedules.
- Use international-standard merchandise systems alongside bespoke in-house tools to manage product flow.
- Ensure optimal merchandise mix reaches stores at the right price, quantity, and timing.
- Support sales forecasting and financial planning to inform merchandising decisions.
- Contribute to process improvements and problem-solving initiatives to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience, preferably within a fashion retail environment.
- Relevant numerical or analytical tertiary qualification.
- Experience with systems such as Oracle, ProClarity, or PLM is advantageous.
