Position Overview
Fidelity Vacancies is seeking a skilled Signal Management Technician to diagnose, manage, and resolve complex alarm system issues. This role focuses on providing expert technical solutions to reduce false alarms and enhance system performance for customers.

Qualifications & Experience

  • PSIRA registration
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Minimum 3–5 years technical experience in alarm systems
  • Fault-finding expertise with IDS and DSC alarm panels
  • Matrix from a Technical High School preferred
  • Tertiary qualification in Electronics or Electronic Engineering advantageous

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement

  • Consult with customers to understand their alarm system requirements and expectations
  • Review existing systems and identify shortcomings or causes of false alarms
  • Develop and present technical solutions to meet business objectives and customer needs
  • Advise customers on new technologies or equipment to enhance their security solutions
  • Agree on action plans and next steps with customers to resolve issues

Administration

  • Complete all documentation accurately, neatly, and on time
  • Ensure punctual attendance at all scheduled customer appointments
  • Prepare detailed written quotations explaining required work and its importance
  • Maintain accurate stock and inventory records

Solutions Implementation

  • Implement solutions as agreed upon with the customer
  • Uphold service standards, including:
    • Checking batteries and testing signals on every site
    • Performing proper fault-finding and programming
    • Ensuring neat wiring and correct placement of equipment
    • Avoiding overcharging or undercharging
  • Maintain ownership of customer cases until false alarm issues are fully resolved

General Duties

  • Handle classified information responsibly
  • Complete case studies for training upcoming technicians
  • Mentor and coach wiremen, assistant technicians, and overactive coordinators
  • Support knowledge transfer to enhance team performance
