Job Description
As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for protecting and growing the store’s market share while aligning with the overall store, division, and company strategy. You will oversee store operations, ensuring smooth execution of business plans, and maintaining high standards of customer service, stock management, and safety protocols. Your role will involve strategic planning, leadership, financial oversight, and continuous improvement to drive the store’s success.
Requirements

Grade 12 with a minimum of 3 years of related retail management experience, or 5 years of related experience

Well-developed business acumen

Ability to work under pressure

Basic computer literacy

Strong leadership and administrative skills

Own transport with a valid driver’s license is preferred

Knowledge of Health and Safety standards in accordance with local legislation (OHSA) and neighboring countries

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Management

Develop, implement, and manage the store’s strategic plan in alignment with the division’s objectives.
Market Share Growth

Drive transactions, sales, and market share in accordance with budget targets.

Manage and promote customer loyalty programs and third-party credit.

Maintaining Store Standards

Conduct daily floor walks to ensure adherence to company standards.

Maintain store lighting, racks, and overall store condition.
Stock Management

Ensure stock is ordered, received, and processed according to company policy.

Manage damaged, obsolete, and slow-moving stock effectively.
Safety (OHSA) Standards

Oversee safety protocols in line with local (OHSA) and neighboring countries’ legislation.

Ensure required checklists and safety appointments are maintained.

Investigate, report, and manage safety incidents.
Expense Management

Manage store operations within the financial model and budget.

Control and maintain expenses according to budget guidelines.
Insurance Claims Administration

Report incidents to the relevant insurance providers and liaise with them for claim processing.
