Store Manager – Clicks Group Careers
Job Purpose
Lead and manage store operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences, drive sales, and achieve business targets while developing and mentoring your team.
Guest Focus

Demonstrate the “Sorbet Way” and instil a customer-centric culture within the team.

Resolve customer complaints promptly, within 24 hours.

Advise guests on all treatments and actively promote cross-selling and up-selling.

Handle guest questions and concerns professionally and accurately.

Ensure appointment scheduling is optimised for maximum guest convenience.

Answer calls in a friendly and professional manner.
Team Management
-
On-board and mentor new team members on store culture and expectations.

Host monthly team meetings to discuss performance, training, hygiene, culture, and sales targets.

Manage staff schedules, training bookings, and rosters.

Address staff or guest issues with guidance from the Area Manager.

Oversee disciplinary processes, performance management, and individual target setting through one-on-one coaching.
Operational Focus
-
Train the team on the Sorbet Loyalty Program and drive membership sign-ups.

Ensure store merchandising, presentation, and visual standards are consistently maintained.

Conduct spot checks, manage inventory, and oversee stock receiving procedures.

Verify stock accuracy on ESP by FDCs and maintain administrative controls, including invoice filing.

Manage cash handling, cash-ups, and banking procedures.
Reporting
-
Submit team meeting agendas, feedback, and monthly leave tracking to the Area Manager.

Provide RS data and weekly sales figures to monitor store performance against targets.
Marketing

Communicate and implement national marketing campaigns at store level.

Ensure team awareness of campaigns, proper collateral display, and staff training to sell and market effectively.

Computer literate with strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.

Exceptional verbal, telephonic, and written communication.

Strong financial acumen and basic math skills.

Able to perform under pressure and manage multiple stores effectively.

Self-directed, proactive, and able to work independently.
Minimum Requirements
-
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a store management role within retail/FMCG, with financial management experience (budgets, P&L, financial ratios).

Education: Matric/Grade 12 (essential), Business or Retail Management Diploma (desirable).
