Main Purpose of the Role
The Account Manager will manage and grow an assigned client portfolio, act as the primary contact for all customer needs, ensure exceptional service delivery, and achieve monthly and annual retention targets.
Minimum Requirements
-
Matric (Essential); Tertiary qualification advantageous

Minimum 3 years’ experience in Key Account Management / Sales

Strong presentation and communication skills
-
Proven ability to maintain and grow an existing client base
-
Ability to resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
-
Experience collaborating with internal teams (Operations, Finance, etc.)

CRM experience and strong administrative skills
-
Ability to analyse data, generate reports, and manage customer KPIs
-
Strong business development skills
-
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Key Responsibilities
-
Manage, retain, and grow the existing client base in the assigned region
-
Prospect and convert new business to increase revenue
-
Act as the main point of contact for customer queries, escalations, and service requirements

Analyse sales and performance data; report weekly to the Regional Sales Manager
-
Maintain updated client information and CRM records
-
Provide competitor and industry insights
-
Assist with tender and proposal preparation and presentations
-
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance client experience
-
Collaborate with Operations and Finance to ensure service excellence and resolve discrepancies
-
Monitor customer KPIs and ensure compliance with company standards

Represent the DSV brand professionally at all times

Meet or exceed monthly sales, retention, and client call ratio targets
