About the Program
Value Logistics is seeking a proactive Back Door Specialist to oversee and optimise operations at assigned store and distribution centre back doors. The role focuses on ensuring smooth stock processing, resolving operational issues, and building strong relationships with back door teams and Value operations.

Purpose of the Job
The Back Door Specialist is responsible for visiting allocated stores and distribution centres, monitoring processes, addressing operational challenges, and ensuring compliance and efficiency in all back door activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with store and distribution centre back door teams
• Conduct visits to each assigned back door at least once per month
• Understand and monitor processes from receipt to dispatch, including returns, to ensure compliance and smooth stock flow
• Maintain and update back door and distribution centre requirements on a monthly basis
• Provide support to back door teams by resolving operational issues and liaising with Value operations for timely solutions
• Drive actions to completion within set deadlines
• Monitor, enhance, and improve turnaround times at back doors
• Manage bookings efficiently and escalate potential delays affecting vehicle offloading
• Implement technology and system integrations to optimise back door procedures and operational efficiency
• Manage procedures to minimise stock returns

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field beneficial
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail and distribution centre back door operations, including auditing and resolving offloading delays
• Own reliable transport
