The Butchery Manager is responsible for leading and supervising the Butchery department within a Pick n Pay Corporate store. This role involves planning, organising, directing, motivating, and providing hands-on operational support to ensure the department achieves its objectives and contributes to overall company performance.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in butchery

- Business acumen with understanding of retail operations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures

- Leadership and team management skills
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service within the Butchery
- Prepare products following company guidelines and standards
- Maintain proper butchery merchandising flow
- Ensure hygiene and housekeeping standards are consistently applied
- Accurately complete all administrative tasks for the Butchery
- Ensure product availability to drive sales and achieve budget targets
- Lead, monitor, and coach team members for effective performance and productivity
