Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a committed Customer Consultant to join their team. The role focuses on engaging with customers, providing accurate information about products and services, and ensuring all queries, complaints, and concerns are handled efficiently to deliver an excellent customer experience.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric (minimum 60% in English, Afrikaans, and Maths Literacy)
  • At least 1 year experience in administration or public relations
  • Strong communication and customer engagement skills
  • Computer literate in MS Office
  • Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

  • Qualification in Administration, Customer Service, or Public Relations
  • Additional third language
  • SAP experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate data capturing and proper completion of all documentation
  • Assist customers with card balances, reports, and statements
  • Manage inventory of promotional materials, application forms, and store items
  • Process transactions accurately and ensure proper reporting
  • Monitor stock levels and control shrinkage
  • Perform checkpoint reversals and verify manual point allocations
  • Maintain effective internal communication within the customer service function
  • Escalate customer compliments, complaints, and product sourcing requests to senior staff
  • Record and manage customer feedback through the customer service diary
  • Respond promptly to written and email queries across platforms
  • Keep management informed on all aspects of the benefits programme
  • Maintain professional telephone etiquette at all times
  • Accurately recruit and capture customer information
  • Coordinate and manage in-store events and promotional activities
  • Serve as a central point of contact for customer queries, compliments, and complaints
  • Assist customers and direct them to relevant departments when needed
  • Ensure visibility of benefits programme signage at help desks and till points
  • Remain visible on the shop floor when required to support customers
  • Provide training on the benefits programme to store departments
  • Follow all company policies, SOPs, and health and safety regulations

  • Relevant administration qualification
  • Knowledge of POPI and the Consumer Protection Act
  • Additional language skills
