Affinity Health is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join a global leader in automated fuel management and payment solutions. This role focuses on maintaining enterprise-level data exchanges, APIs, and control processes across multiple sites, servers, and international clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data & Systems Management: Monitor data transmission scripts, manage FTP server folders, and schedule import/export tasks.
• Reporting & Analytics: Execute SQL queries, compile ad hoc reports, and perform financial reconciliations.
• Technical Support (Level 1): Troubleshoot system and server failures, manage B2B certificate renewals, and ensure HTTPS compliance.
• Collaboration: Liaise with stakeholders to resolve queries and conduct basic product connection testing.
• Documentation: Maintain and update system support manuals and track support tickets to resolution.
• Availability: Provide after-hours support for critical system failures.

Minimum Requirements:

• National Diploma in IT (NQF 5/6) or equivalent.
• 4+ years’ experience with PHP and MySQL or similar databases.
• Proven experience in Cloud, Linux, and Windows environments.
• Proficiency in FTP data exchange and API integration.
• Basic networking knowledge and understanding of XML.
• Fast and accurate touch-typing.
• Strong documentation skills and effective communication in English and Afrikaans.
