Forecourt Sales Representative – Value Logistics
Purpose of the Role
The Forecourt Sales Representative is responsible for managing and expanding sales within petrol station forecourts and convenience retail outlets. This role requires a strong understanding of forecourt operations, high-volume trading environments, and rapid stock turnover. The position focuses on driving sales growth, ensuring optimal product availability, and building strong relationships with site managers and forecourt teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Account Development

Develop and grow customer accounts within the forecourt and convenience retail channel, with a focus on beverage and snack categories

Manage and promote private label product ranges

Deliver high-frequency service to ensure consistent stock availability and merchandising standards

Build and maintain strong relationships with forecourt managers and on-site staff

Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment to prevent out-of-stock situations
Promotions & Merchandising

Execute promotional activations in line with approved promotions catalogues

Manage point-of-sale execution and in-store promotional compliance at forecourt sites

Track performance of key and fast-moving SKUs and recommend range and assortment improvements

Ensure visual standards and merchandising requirements are consistently met
Route Management & Reporting

Execute customer visits according to defined route plans, prioritising forecourt locations

Maintain strict adherence to NDDs and service-level expectations

Support credit control processes and reconcile on-site transactions and payments

Compile and submit detailed activity and performance reports specific to the forecourt channel

Provide insights into consumer buying behaviour and forecourt purchasing trends
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)
-
5 to 10 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 3 years in forecourt or convenience retail sales

Excellent communication skills

Proven track record of achieving sales targets within the past 12 months
