Job Description
Provide excellent customer service in-store while assisting with merchandising stock, shelf price labelling, and maintaining a clean and safe working area within your designated responsibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year relevant work experience, or Grade 12 without experience
  • Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language
  • Valid South African ID or work permit
  • Ability to perform basic calculations accurately
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Ability to work under pressure

Key Performance Areas

Customer Service

  • Advise and assist customers with product information and queries
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints promptly

Merchandising Standards

  • Merchandising bulk stock safely according to store layout and planograms
  • Ensure your area is fully merchandised and aligned with approved layouts

Housekeeping

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and obstacle-free area
  • Merchandised stock promptly after receipt
  • Correctly label shelves within your area of responsibility
  • Complete checklists for canteen, toilets, and showers as required

Safety (OHSA) Requirements

  • Comply with safety standards and use required safety gear
  • Ensure store aisles and bulk stock areas are safe for customers and colleagues
  • Report any safety discrepancies to the Store Manager

Manage Stock Loss

  • Report damaged stock within your area of responsibility to the Store Manager
