Job Overview
Sab Vacancies is seeking a detail-oriented and disciplined Inventory Clerk to manage Finished Goods (FG) inventory within the logistics supply chain. The role ensures product quality compliance, accurate SAP transactions, adherence to governance controls, and timely resolution of inventory variances. The successful candidate will maintain high standards of inventory accuracy, reporting, and operational compliance.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Finished Goods Quality Management
- Ensure FG inventory quality standards comply with DPO and VPO requirements.
- Accurately block quality-related and obsolete stock in SAP with proper physical controls in place.
- Enforce compliance with freshness and rotation policies.
- Record inventory counts accurately, ensuring quantities, BBD, SKU details, and bin cards are clearly displayed.
- Apply and manage inventory concession policies in line with product age standards.
- Ensure all salvaged FG stock is repacked according to standards.
- Ensure obsolete stock is decanted in accordance with approved procedures.
Inventory Control and Management
- Conduct independent inventory counts and reconcile results to SAP records.
- Investigate, resolve, and report all inventory count variances.
- Escalate unresolved discrepancies with detailed commentary and action plans.
- Ensure all physical FG movements are accurately reflected in SAP, including T1 and T2 movements.
- Validate packaging receipts and confirm alignment with line counters.
- Verify write-offs against approved documentation and gate records.
- Ensure breakage, obsolescence, and salvage stock are correctly signed off and processed in SAP.
- Review and resolve daily controls and open T1/T2 shipments.
- Process claims promptly with complete supporting documentation and ensure reimbursements where applicable.
- Review and approve driver route settlement corrections.
- Monitor SCO budget versus actual costs and report variances with corrective actions.
Governance and Risk Management
- Ensure all documentation is properly authorized, securely filed, and maintained in line with Inventory Control Policies.
- Maintain secure storage of stock packs, shipment documentation, and gate registers.
- Support site security controls, including camera monitoring and random verification checks.
- Conduct independent three-point checks on T1 and T2 shipments during departures and arrivals.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Engineering, Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- 2–3 years’ experience in a stock control environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
