We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Manager Deli to oversee all operations within the Deli Department. This role is responsible for managing resources to maximise turnover, minimise shortages, and ensure full adherence to company standards, processes, and policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Experience or training in food retail and resource management
Competencies:
- Strong customer orientation
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey messages clearly and listen actively
- Business and commercial acumen
Key Responsibilities:
Merchandising Management
- Ensure products are displayed according to merchandising standards
- Monitor stock levels to meet demand while minimising waste
- Execute promotional activities and maintain planogram compliance
Food Safety and Hygiene
- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards at all times
- Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with safety procedures
Customer Service Management
- Deliver exceptional customer service and address queries proactively
- Ensure department equipment and staff are ready to serve customers efficiently
Management of Staff
- Lead, coach, and motivate the deli team to meet operational and service standards
- Communicate priorities and delegate tasks effectively
Administration
- Monitor departmental performance, including turnover, waste, and stock variances
- Complete all administrative tasks accurately and within required timeframes
SAP Systems Utilisation
- Utilise SAP or similar systems for reporting, stock management, and operational analysis
