Job Overview:
Pick n Pay is looking for a dynamic Marketing Officer to join the Omni-channel Marketing team. In this role, you will work closely with the Online Marketing Manager to execute and coordinate digital marketing campaigns that support the growth of Pick n Pay’s online shopping and scheduled delivery platforms.
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders across marketing, category management, and merchandising to deliver integrated, 360-degree digital marketing campaigns aimed at building the leading online grocery business in South Africa.
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field
-
Minimum of two years’ experience in digital marketing campaign management
-
Strong understanding of digital marketing principles
-
Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
-
Solid project management skills
-
Experience in e-commerce and/or retail will be advantageous
-
Experience with CRM tools and Google Analytics is a strong advantage

Key Responsibilities:
Campaign Management and Execution
-
Assist in the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across social media, paid media, website, and email channels
-
Support and manage existing and new email marketing programmes, focusing on testing and optimisation
-
Manage daily website updates, including scheduling banners, push notifications, and campaign pages
-
Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as category managers, merchandisers, and cross-functional teams to deliver campaigns

Brief and coordinate marketing campaigns for Pick n Pay Online Shopping

Conduct quality checks including copy proofing, URL checks, pricing verification, and campaign accuracy
-
Support daily trade activity planning and ensure campaign readiness
-
Monitor live campaigns, analyse performance, and optimise where necessary
-
Compile and present post-campaign performance reports
Marketing Strategy Implementation:

Contribute as an active member of the Omni Marketing and Commercial teams to support customer acquisition and retention strategies

Apply marketing strategy knowledge to practical marketing tactics

Research, recommend, and develop innovative marketing ideas

Assist in developing and maintaining the website marketing activity plan

Support the creative production process from briefing through design, build, testing, and quality control
