Sab Vacancies – Packaging Operator

About the Role

The Packaging Operator is responsible for operating packaging equipment, managing associated processes, and ensuring high-quality, efficient production. This role monitors performance, maintains process standards, and supports continuous improvement within AB InBev.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate manual and automatic packaging machines according to production standards.
• Interpret and implement the production plan for each shift.
• Ensure process quality, productivity, and compliance with operational standards.
• Perform administrative tasks, including tracking, monitoring, and taking corrective action when required.
• Manage PIMS and POMS systems, addressing negative trends proactively.
• Conduct process checks, acknowledge downtime, and apply OFRs as per triggers.
• Contribute to AB reports and other required documentation.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions (SIOs).

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12.
• Post-matric or equivalent (e.g., N4, National Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification).
• Technical background with relevant packaging experience.
• IOB Certificate is an added advantage.
• SAM/LOTOTO certification.
• Minimum of 9 months on-the-job training and completion of SKAP within 12 months.
• Experience within the FMCG packaging industry.
