Job Summary
Studio 88 is looking for a customer-focused and motivated Sales Assistant to join the Operations team. The successful candidate will contribute to achieving store targets through excellent customer service, effective sales support, and strong merchandising standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive sales by assisting customers and achieving individual and store sales targets.
• Deliver excellent customer service by handling enquiries and resolving customer issues.
• Perform general administrative duties as required.
• Assist with stock control and stock loss prevention.
• Support merchandising activities to ensure attractive and effective store displays.
• Restock, fold, and organise merchandise to maintain a neat store environment.
• Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions accurately.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 / Senior Certificate.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a sales environment.
• Previous retail experience, particularly in clothing or footwear stores, is advantageous.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Experience supporting sales teams with merchandising and store upkeep.
• Competence in cash handling, transaction processing, and POS systems.
• Basic knowledge of inventory control, including stock replenishment and spot checks.
Skills and Competencies
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to upsell and cross-sell products effectively.
• Good understanding of clothing products, brands, sizing, and fashion trends.
• Basic knowledge of visual merchandising principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to build and maintain customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
