Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is seeking a talented Sales Channel Lead Traditional Trade to join our Sales department in Bloemfontein. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager Sales, this role is responsible for driving route-to-market excellence, revenue growth, and high-performing sales team development across traditional trade channels.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Sales Execution and Route-to-Market Excellence

  • Ensure trade execution aligns with Route-to-Market (RTM) principles.
  • Drive execution standards, call adherence, and in-trade performance to increase volume and market share.
  • Monitor and implement channel and promotional campaigns to maximize compliance and ROI.

Revenue and Profit Growth

  • Deliver sustainable volume, net sales revenue, and margin growth.
  • Optimize pack penetration and pricing strategies across all territories.

Sales Team Development and Performance Management

  • Build and lead a motivated, high-performing frontline sales team.
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback, and training.
  • Set and cascade team and individual goals, monitor KPIs, and address capability gaps.
  • Develop a strong talent pipeline for key roles.

Customer Relationship and Service Excellence

  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and CRM responsiveness.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly to reinforce CCBSA’s brand and loyalty.

Effective Resource and Asset Utilization

  • Ensure optimal use of trade tools, coolers, vehicles, equipment, and promotional materials.
  • Oversee asset maintenance, compliance, and ROI in line with company policy.

Governance and SHERQ Compliance

  • Adhere to governance protocols, including Risk and Control Matrix standards.
  • Safeguard company assets, mitigate business risk, and protect the license to trade.

Skills, Experience & Education

Education

  • Formal qualification in Marketing, Sales, or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years frontline sales experience within FMCG
  • Team management experience advantageous

  • Strong understanding of FMCG sales practices and RTM principles
  • Customer engagement and relationship building
