Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Roadmaps

Define, develop, and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with business objectives and market needs.

Own and drive end-to-end product roadmaps, ensuring clear prioritisation and delivery of strategic initiatives.

Identify emerging market opportunities and lead product innovation to drive sustainable growth.
Cross-Functional Team Leadership

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned, efficient, and timely product delivery.

Collaborate closely with design, engineering, marketing, legal, and finance teams to deliver high-quality, compliant products.

Ensure all product initiatives adhere to relevant legal, regulatory, and financial requirements.
Product Lifecycle Management

Manage the full product lifecycle from concept and development through launch and post-launch optimisation.

Apply data-driven insights to enhance product features, performance, and customer value.

Lead successful product launches, ensuring market readiness and alignment with business goals.
Stakeholder Management

Communicate product vision, strategy, and performance to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Provide strong leadership through coaching, feedback, and performance management.

Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field, or certification in Product Management or Agile methodologies.

Fintech-related certifications are advantageous.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in product management, leading product development initiatives and managing cross-functional teams within a Fintech environment.

At least 3 years’ experience in the financial services industry with proven banking or insurance product development exposure.
Required Knowledge and Technical Skills

Extensive experience driving strategic product initiatives and managing complex product lifecycles in Fintech.

Strong understanding of South African market dynamics, customer behaviour, and competitive landscapes within financial services.

Advanced expertise in integrated Fintech ecosystems, including APIs and Swagger, with proven success managing complex projects.

Demonstrated ability to drive product innovation, optimise performance, and align outcomes with business objectives.

Strong data-driven decision-making capabilities with experience resolving technical, functional, and commercial challenges.

Experience mentoring junior Product Managers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Proven experience leading innovation and digital transformation initiatives in a Fintech environment.

Advanced knowledge of global Fintech trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
