About the Program:
Job Description
The Signal Management Technician is responsible for the installation, programming, and maintenance of electronic security equipment at commercial and industrial premises. This role ensures all systems operate efficiently, reliably, and according to client specifications.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Electronic Security Technician
- Proven experience in programming, wiring, installations, and fault finding
Job Requirements & Other Attributes:
- Valid code 08 driver’s licence essential
- PSIRA registered (Grade C)
- Basic understanding of electronics
- Knowledge of DSC, IDS, and PARADOX systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and service existing equipment
- Willingness to work standby as required
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Program security systems according to specifications
- Plan and manage cable runs with wiremen
- Obtain and verify customer codes before attending calls and during standby
- Complete handovers and job cards after every installation
- Provide timely feedback to Manager, Supervisor, and Call Centre upon completion of calls
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stocktakes
- Keep company vehicles clean and submit petrol slips promptly
