Job Description:
Tekkie Town is offering an exciting opportunity for a Store Manager to lead the team at our Chatsworth branch. This role reports directly to the Area Sales Manager. We are looking for a candidate based in Chatsworth or surrounding areas.

As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations to maximize profitability. Your duties include achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets, reducing stock losses, managing store expenses, and leading a motivated and high-performing team.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / Matric

  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role

  • Fluent in English and one other relevant official South African language

  • Strong interpersonal, selling, and communication skills

  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills

  • High energy and driven to meet and exceed targets

  • Excellent planning, organising, and time management abilities

  • Positive attitude with the ability to perform under pressure

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to drive a team

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Own transport and a valid driver’s licence is an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive store turnover and ensure all budgets and targets are achieved

  • Ensure efficient store administration aligned with company procedures

  • Maintain stock losses below benchmark

  • Implement promotions and visual merchandising standards effectively

  • Stay updated on new stock arrivals and oversee unpacking processes

  • Ensure brand standards meet customer expectations consistently

  • Coach, develop, and support staff as part of succession planning

  • Ensure adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures

  • Promote and uphold Tekkie Town culture and values

  • Oversee daily opening and closing of the store

  • Participate in required assessments and interviews as part of the selection process
