Job Description
The Technical Supervisor is responsible for managing and maintaining high-quality standards within Fidelity Secure Drive. This role ensures customer-related issues are resolved efficiently while upholding the company’s commitment to delivering superior technology, information, and service. The incumbent will support the mission of exceeding client expectations and maintaining Fidelity’s reputation for excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all allocated resources, including vehicles, tools, stock, and devices.
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness, roadworthiness, and compliance with traffic regulations.
- Oversee safekeeping and servicing of tools.
- Conduct regular stock takes and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain operational mobile devices and monitor data usage.
- Ensure uniforms are clean, presentable, and comply with PSIRA standards.
- Perform daily technical administration, including filing, database updates, and office functions.
- Provide on-the-job coaching to technicians as required.
- Attend to customer complaints and provide technical support both onsite and remotely.
- Assist with fitments and ensure all hardware installations are completed to the highest quality and within timelines.
- Repair, maintain, and install vehicle tracking systems.
- Maintain fitment quality and implement new fitment techniques, including OEM guidelines and specialised methods.
- Ensure personal hygiene and company uniform standards are maintained.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures while actively developing skills.
- Provide comprehensive feedback to internal teams and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Matric certificate.
- Valid Driver’s License (Code B).
- Clear Criminal Record.
- PSIRA Grade C certification.
- Trade test in motor electrical electronics or related field preferred.
- Auto-electrician qualification advantageous.
- 6–10 years’ experience in the fitment of vehicle tracking equipment.
