Are you a meticulous compliance professional with extensive knowledge of South African insurance regulations and a commitment to safeguarding businesses and customers? Join us in this pivotal role where your expertise will drive compliance excellence.
As the Compliance Monitoring Manager, you will lead independent, risk-based compliance monitoring for our Short-Term and Long-Term Insurance licenses, ensuring adherence to key regulations such as the Insurance Act, FAIS, FICA, POPIA, PPR, TCF, and Prudential Standards. You will oversee contracted Intermediaries and Binder Holders, execute a Board-approved monitoring plan using Exclaim Risk and Compliance Software, and collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate compliance risks.

Duties:
- Conduct compliance monitoring and risk-based assessments.
- Oversee regulatory adherence across internal teams and third-party providers.
- Manage and monitor Binder Holders and Intermediaries.
- Develop and implement Compliance Risk Management Plans (CRMPs).
- Prepare compliance reports and engage with regulators.
- Administer and optimize Exclaim Risk and Compliance Software.
- Drive training and awareness initiatives.
- Uphold Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and market conduct standards.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- LLB.
- RE1 & RE5 (CPrac(SA) advantageous).
Experience:
- 3+ years in compliance monitoring within insurance/financial services, with oversight of Intermediaries, Binder Holders, or Outsourced Providers.
- Proficiency in Exclaim or similar compliance software and MS Office.
- Strong grasp of SA insurance laws and global compliance standards.
