Job Description
The Product Owner (Onsite) is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of assigned digital product streams, ensuring alignment between business objectives, product strategy, and agile execution. This role translates product vision into actionable deliverables while driving value through continuous collaboration, prioritisation, and improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily delivery of assigned digital products and initiatives.

Own, refine, and prioritise the product backlog to ensure clarity, value, and readiness.

Manage groomed backlogs, sprint cycles, and release planning activities.

Translate the Product Manager’s vision and roadmap into clear, actionable backlog items.

Support sprint execution by clarifying requirements through detailed user stories and designs.
-
Ensure features and releases align with roadmap milestones and business priorities.

Collaborate closely with UX/UI teams to define and enhance customer journeys.

Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Conduct sprint retrospectives and integrate learnings into continuous improvement efforts.

Validate product increments with users to ensure value delivery and usability.

Track feature performance metrics and sprint KPIs such as velocity, completion rates, and defect trends.

Provide data-driven insights and feedback into strategic planning and roadmap refinement.

Identify delivery risks and blockers, working proactively with teams to resolve them.
-
Ensure transparency on progress, timelines, risks, and changes to stakeholders.

Streamline development processes to improve efficiency and reduce time-to-market.

Maintain comprehensive documentation including user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and guides.

Build and manage an accessible product knowledge base across teams.

Develop training materials and support smooth adoption and handover of new releases.

Facilitate effective cross-functional communication between business units and delivery teams.
Job Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (Essential).

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Essential).

Scrum or Agile certifications (Advantageous).

Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner (Essential).

Proven experience with software projects and digital solutions (Essential).

Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks.

Experience in backlog management, user story mapping, and sprint planning.

Solid understanding of UX principles and acceptance criteria definition.

Practical experience with relevant product and delivery tools.
