Main Purpose of the Role
The Manager, Inventory, Solutions is responsible for leading inventory management and operational control within a dedicated client site. The role ensures all daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and operational deliverables consistently exceed contractual SLAs and KPIs, while maintaining system integrity, compliance, and strong client relationships.
Qualifications

3-year degree or equivalent diploma in Logistics, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
OR -
Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in warehouse operations management, including extensive inventory management experience
Computer and Systems Skills
-
Advanced working knowledge of ERP and WMS platforms
-
Strong expertise in inventory management systems and applications
-
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis
-
CargoWrite Key User certification advantageous
-
SQL knowledge advantageous
Job-Related Experience and Requirements
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a warehouse environment
-
Extensive knowledge of inbound, outbound, cycle counting, and returns processes
-
Strong understanding of ERP and WMS system alignment
-
Proven experience in root cause analysis, stock discrepancy investigations, incident reporting, and CAPA implementation
-
At least 3 years’ experience planning, organising, directing, controlling, and monitoring warehouse operations and inventory programmes
-
Minimum of 5 years’ people management experience
-
Strong understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain operations
-
Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
-
Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of SLAs, KPIs, and contractual liabilities
-
Ability to manage client expectations and maintain compliance with policies, regulations, and work instructions
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels
-
High attention to detail and quality of work
-
Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and after-hours when required

Own vehicle and valid driver’s license

Audit preparation, execution, and support for internal and client audits
-
Ability to prepare professional slide decks for monthly business reviews

Duties and Responsibilities
Commercial and Client Management
-
Develop a deep understanding of client business models and end-customer requirements
-
Build and maintain strong, trusted client relationships
-
Ensure full understanding and adherence to contractual SLAs and KPIs
-
Maintain compliance with HSE, audit requirements, and ad hoc operational tasks
-
Prepare and maintain accurate KPI, SLA, and contractual reports
-
Investigate inventory-related issues and complete CAPA documentation
-
Conduct daily system checks to ensure data integrity between DSV and client systems
-
Manage and resolve customer inventory queries within agreed KPIs
Operations and Inventory Management
-
Proactively identify and manage inventory risks
-
Monitor stock shortages and excess inventory, including FIFO, obsolete, and slow-moving stock
-
Ensure daily system-to-system inventory balancing and alignment
-
Maintain inventory security to prevent loss, theft, or misappropriation
-
Plan and execute cycle counts, wall-to-wall counts, and ABC analysis in line with contractual requirements
-
Maintain Material Master and Bin Master data accuracy
-
Control quarantined and damaged stock, including inspections and disposals
-
Ensure strict adherence to inventory processes across operations and administration
-
Manage system enhancements and continuous improvements
-
Ensure accurate and timely processing of returns
-
Maintain WMS virtual locations with no ageing beyond five days
-
Implement CAPA for recurring or high-risk inventory issues
-
Oversee daily operational planning, order well management, and system crisis management
-
Drive inbound and outbound planning and daily housekeeping compliance
-
Maintain disposal records for audit purposes
-
Manage resource planning and Continuous Improvement Projects
People Management

Ensure clear roles and responsibilities with documented job descriptions
-
Measure and manage subordinate performance against defined deliverables
-
Lead by example, motivate teams, and communicate business objectives effectively
-
Drive training, multi-skilling, and development initiatives
-
Implement succession planning across key roles
-
Manage employee relations in line with HR and IR frameworks
