Departmental Manager – Clicks Group
Job Purpose
The Departmental Manager is responsible for effectively utilising people, systems, and resources to drive productivity, achieve operational targets, and deliver high levels of service in line with company standards and values.
Key Responsibilities

Optimise the utilisation of staff and resources to achieve productivity and performance targets.

Lead and manage the department to ensure consistent process compliance with all standard operating procedures, cut-off times, and daily reporting requirements.

Manage and control departmental systems to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy.

Achieve agreed and budgeted financial targets through effective planning and control.

Enforce health and safety procedures and coordinate emergency responses to maintain a safe working environment.

Engage and communicate with internal stakeholders, including stores, as well as external stakeholders such as suppliers, to ensure effective collaboration and timely resolution of queries.

Analyse, interpret, and report on operational data to identify trends and drive continuous process improvement.

Deliver consistently high service levels to customers.

Actively live and embed the brand’s values within the department.
Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12)

Relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous
Experience

3 to 5 years’ experience within a distribution centre environment
