Job Purpose

Provide strategic leadership in stock administration by ensuring inventory integrity, optimising stock control processes and maintaining full compliance with company standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.

Job Objectives

• Maintain full oversight of inventory across the entire store, ensuring optimal stock availability at all times.

• Manage and monitor accurate recording of all stock movements, including receipts, issues and transfers.

• Prevent stock shortages and overstock situations through effective forecasting and planning.

• Utilise inventory management systems to track, analyse and report on stock performance.

• Design, implement and maintain robust stock control processes and internal controls.

• Lead, supervise and support stock control staff through effective coaching, training and performance management.

• Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy and continuous improvement within the stock administration team.

• Identify and implement initiatives to improve stock control efficiency and operational effectiveness.

• Ensure correct pricing principles and stock valuation practices are applied throughout the store.

• Optimise storeroom layout and workflows to maximise space utilisation and productivity.

• Collaborate closely with sales and finance teams to support business objectives and accurate reporting.

• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, driving corrective actions and preventative measures.

• Ensure full compliance with company SOPs, legal requirements and regulatory standards.

• Maintain accurate and complete documentation to support audits and internal reporting.

• Prepare and present regular reports on stock performance, KPIs and variances.

• Lead and manage a minimum of three full stocktakes per year, investigating variances and ensuring an accurate stock file.

• Perform all additional stock control and inventory-related duties as required by management.
