Job Purpose
The Nursing Practitioner is responsible for managing a commercially viable clinic while delivering high-quality clinical services, ensuring patient safety, and providing a comprehensive healthcare offering in line with company guidelines and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of a profitable clinic in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Provide lifestyle management screening tests and preventative healthcare services.

Conduct well-baby clinics, including immunisations and ongoing baby health monitoring.

Deliver reproductive health services and adult immunisations.

Provide primary healthcare services, including treatment of minor ailments and wound care.

Perform phlebotomy services in line with approved clinical standards.

Compile and submit professional, stock, and financial management reports accurately and timeously.

Manage medical waste, enforce safety precautions, and maintain a safe clinical environment.

Manage adverse events and medical emergencies in a professional and effective manner.

Counsel and advise patients on health matters and weight management, and refer patients to Pharmacists or other healthcare professionals when appropriate.

Plan and implement Health Days and other health-related initiatives.

Build and maintain professional healthcare networks to support clinic growth and service delivery.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications and Experience

Registration as a Professional Nurse
-
Three-year nursing diploma or four-year nursing degree
-
Minimum of three years’ practical experience across a broad range of nursing disciplines, preferably Community Health, Primary Health, and Midwifery

Experience with Unisolv and Allegra systems is advantageous

Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to maintain accurate, secure, and confidential electronic patient records

Strong administrative and reporting skills to support efficient clinic operations

Effective financial controls to ensure payment for services rendered
-
Ability to manage, monitor, and order clinic stock and equipment, including cold chain compliance and loss prevention

Sound financial and commercial understanding

Ensure professional registration and indemnity remain current

Establish and manage a reliable locum network
