Job Overview
The Mobile Unit Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing mobile unit operations to drive performance, expand market coverage, and ensure operational excellence. This role focuses on strategic execution, team leadership, vehicle and route management, and growing SIM distribution in line with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Analyse key performance indicators, including CIB ratio, agent tiers, and active base growth, to exceed targets and proactively identify and mitigate operational risks

Manage the mobile vehicle fleet, ensuring all vehicles are regularly serviced and maintained in a roadworthy condition

Implement effective routes to market through well-structured travel plans that provide comprehensive geographic coverage and efficient distribution

Build and maintain strong relationships with network providers across provinces to secure support and align on strategic initiatives

Develop and execute strategies to expand SIM card distribution by growing the active agent base and entering underserved or low-distribution areas

Oversee the operations of the Cellular Counter project and ensure alignment with agreed mechanics and performance standards

Lead and coordinate the training and onboarding of new Mobile Units

Provide strong leadership through continuous coaching, performance management, and feedback

Minimum Requirements

Matric qualification
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the cellular industry
Technical Skills

Working knowledge of basic accounting practices, including stock forecasting

Strong ability to analyse and interpret data sets

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Experience in managing and leading teams
