Pick n Pay is seeking a dynamic Local Store Manager to lead store operations, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service. The role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management

Deliver customer service that consistently exceeds expectations

Implement and maintain KPAs and KPIs to measure store performance and Local 7 Wonders success

Monitor, measure, and address non-conformance with timely action plans

Maintain hygiene, housekeeping, food safety, and employee health and safety compliance
-
Ensure adherence to store SOPs and transform them into daily routines for all team members
-
Implement and maintain display and merchandising standards, ensuring all products are correctly ticketed and priced
-
Manage stock levels and minimise out-of-stock situations within defined timeframes
Team Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and motivate staff to achieve store goals and deliver quality products and services

Drive on-the-job training to develop team skills aligned with Local standards

Build a positive team culture that encourages collaboration and accountability
Sales & Commercial Performance

Drive sales through effective product displays and focus on advertised lines

Analyse reports from Support and Regional offices to take appropriate action

Maintain financial and numerical oversight, ensuring accurate reporting and auditing
Compliance & Standards

Ensure all compliance requirements are consistently met, including internal policies, procedures, and labour regulations

Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and safety across the store
Minimum Requirements
-
Matric / Grade 12
-
5 years retail experience
-
3 years store management experience
-
3 years general management experience
-
Intermediate computer skills
