End Controller – Cashbuild Vacancies

Job Purpose

The End Controller is responsible for verifying, checking, and recording all required documentation for transactions involving stock and fixed assets entering or leaving the store, including customer returns, to ensure full compliance with Company procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 with at least one year of relevant work experience, or two years’ related experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and the dominant local language

  • Strong literacy and numerical skills

  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure

  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Key Performance Areas

End Control Operations

  • Ensure no goods leave the store without valid and complete documentation

  • Verify that all documents are correctly completed with accurate dates, times, sequence numbers, and authorised signatures

  • Record and authorise all customer returns accurately in the End Controller register

  • Ensure adequate backup coverage during shift changes, meal, and rest breaks

  • Control and sign End Control keys in and out daily

  • Ensure all exit and entry doors are closed when not in use

  • Ensure loading and off-loading shutter doors remain closed when not in use

  • Report suspicious behaviour, vehicles, or activities posing a risk to the store or customers to Management

  • Conduct random employee searches in line with Company policy when employees exit the store

Customer Service

  • Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service when checking customers’ goods in and out

  • Direct customers to the appropriate team member for further assistance
