Store Manager – Cashbuild Vacancies
Job Purpose
The Store Manager is responsible for protecting and growing profitable market share in the store while ensuring alignment with the Store, Division, and Company strategy. This role oversees all operational, financial, and human resource functions to deliver excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
Requirements

Grade 12 with at least 3–5 years of retail management experience

Strong business acumen and leadership skills

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
-
Basic computer literacy
-
Strong administrative and human resource management skills

Own transport and valid driver’s license preferred

Own cell phone

Knowledge of Health and Safety (OHSA) requirements and compliance

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Management
-
Develop, implement, and manage the Store’s strategic plan in line with Divisional objectives
-
Align store operations with the Company’s strategic initiatives
Grow and Protect Market Share
-
Achieve sales budgets, transactions, and market share growth as per the store plan
-
Promote customer loyalty programmes and 3rd party credit
-
Develop action plans to defend and grow the market against competitors
-
Ensure Store Business Plans are implemented and updated as required
Customer Service
-
Implement and monitor the Customer Service strategy
-
Maintain effective delivery services as per company policy
-
Grow and maintain VIC and charge card client base
-
Recommend range improvements to suit the market
Asset Control
-
Manage and control shrinkage in line with store policy
-
Protect cash, stock, and fixed assets
-
Manage debtors and monitor store security requirements
-
Ensure physical security measures are implemented and maintained
Business Trade Licenses
-
Ensure all relevant trade licenses are up to date and renewed on time
Human Resource Management
-
Manage manpower in line with company strategy
-
Ensure succession planning and career pathing within the store

Promote open communication with staff and employee forums
-
Oversee training, development, and employee relations
Maintaining Store Standards

Conduct daily floor walks and monitor action plan implementation
-
Ensure housekeeping, merchandising, and “ready for business” standards are maintained
-
Maintain lighting, racking, and store facilities in good condition
Stock Management
-
Order, receive, and manage stock in line with policy
-
Implement action plans for damaged, slow-moving, or obsolete stock

Ensure excess stock is managed according to policy
Store Safety (OHSA) Standards

Ensure safety compliance and completion of all checklists
-
Appoint OHSA representatives and report incidents
Expense Management

Manage store expenses within budget and financial model
-
Monitor adherence to financial benchmarks
Insurance Claims Administration

Report incidents to relevant insurers and liaise on claims
-
Submit required documentation for claims processing
Management of CB Way

Implement and maintain controls and disciplines according to CB Way

Ensure compliance with company standards through audits and corrective action plans
