Job Purpose
Deliver outstanding customer service in the Store while supporting effective merchandising, accurate shelf price labelling, and maintaining high housekeeping standards within the assigned area of responsibility.
Minimum Requirements
-
Minimum Grade 10 or NQF Level 3 with at least 1 year relevant work experience, or
-
Grade 12 with no related work experience

Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language
-
Valid South African ID or valid work permit
-
Ability to perform basic calculations accurately
-
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
-
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Key Performance Areas
Customer Service
-
Assist and advise customers on appropriate products and general enquiries
-
Support the resolution of customer complaints in a professional and helpful manner
Merchandising Standards
-
Merchandise bulk stock safely according to the Store layout plan
-
Ensure the allocated area is fully merchandised in line with layouts and planograms
Housekeeping
-
Maintain a clean, safe, and obstacle-free work area at all times
-
Merchandise stock immediately after receipt
-
Ensure customers can safely enter and exit aisles without risk or inconvenience
-
Maintain correct shelf price labelling within the area of responsibility
-
Complete all required checklists, including canteen and ablution schedules, while on duty
Safety (OHSA) Compliance
-
Comply with all OHSA safety requirements, including the use of protective gear
-
Ensure racking and bulk stock are safely merchandised for customers and colleagues
-
Report safety concerns or discrepancies to the Store Manager
Stock Loss Control

Identify and report damaged stock within the area of responsibility to the Store Manager
