Purpose of the Role
To promote Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) products and increase market share by providing professional financial advice, delivering high-quality client service in a branch environment, and creating opportunities for cross-selling value-added services.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Delivery

Maintain in-depth knowledge of SRM product offerings.

Understand clients’ financial goals and recommend suitable products or combinations to meet their needs effectively and affordably.

Keep clients informed about new products and changes to existing products, updating their portfolios as necessary.

Validate client details according to regulatory and product requirements and submit new business correctly.

Conduct due diligence to identify and flag potential risks.

Manage daily appointments while accommodating walk-in clients.
In-Branch Client Service and Retention

Service and manage all client profiles to ensure retention and continued engagement.

Send payment reminders, follow up on queries, and support clients proactively.

Monitor NTUs (clients Not Taken Up) and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Manage client payment persistency for the benefit of both clients and the branch.

Provide guidance on alternative payment arrangements and ensure proper processing.

Deliver in-branch servicing aligned with client experience standards.

Resolve client queries promptly or escalate according to the established framework.
Quality, Compliance, and Continuous Development

Adhere to all compliance and quality standards consistently.

Maintain registration, product knowledge, and CPD points.

Identify risks and flag potentially fraudulent activities.

Keep accurate records of advice and log all activities according to regulations and SOPs.
Monthly Planning and Reporting

Report daily activities using relevant technology platforms.

Collate data for weekly and monthly reporting deadlines.

Complete ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Retail Branch Manager.
Qualifications
-
Matric (Grade 12)
-
RE5 registration advantageous
-
FAIS Compliant (Wealth Management) as per DOFA requirements
-
Class of Business training to be completed within 12 months of employment
Knowledge and Experience

Strong understanding of financial advice and products

Sales and client service experience in a branch or retail environment
