Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Engineer with a strong background in hardware and software troubleshooting. The successful candidate will provide IT support to users at our Head Office and Divisional Offices, both remotely and on-site.

The IT Support Engineer must be able to work independently as well as part of a team, interact professionally with users at all levels, and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong research skills, adaptability, and a willingness to learn are essential.

The role requires technical proficiency, excellent customer service, and effective communication skills (both verbal and written). The candidate will manage service requests and incidents via the CA system and respond to emails professionally and promptly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers via email, telephone, or in person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including printers and scanners.
  • Respond to user queries effectively and provide timely feedback.
  • Log all incidents and service requests in the CA Logging System.
  • Maintain IT security awareness and collaborate with supporting teams to resolve critical issues.
  • Support and set up computer desktop equipment in meeting rooms.
  • Image and set up desktops for new users.
  • Relocate desktop computers as needed during and after business hours.
  • Assist in other distribution center areas when required.
  • Analyse and report problem areas and proactively implement solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant technology certifications or courses (MCSE and A+ advantageous).
  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in IT or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT End User Support or desktop support roles.

Technical Competencies

  • Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems: Windows 7, 10, and 11.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Office 2010, 2016, 2019, Office 365.
  • Hardware experience, including Android scanners and label printers.
  • Desktop computer imaging and setup.
  • Computer hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective management of IT hardware and IT environments.

Essential Competencies

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software.
  • Exposure to relevant IT infrastructure technologies.

Advantageous Competencies

  • Experience with Microsoft System Center 2012.
