Job Description
Truworths is seeking a skilled Facilities Co-Ordinator to join our Store Design Contracts Department. Reporting to the National Contracts Manager, this role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail property portfolio and supporting store builds across our entire network. The position is based at our Head Office in Cape Town and offers opportunities for professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate, track, and ensure timely resolution of all building and plant maintenance issues across stores, including water ingress, HVAC, escalators, hoists, fire damage, and more.
- Prepare progress reports and maintain supporting documentation in collaboration with the Property Management Team, Property Legal Team, Operations team, landlords, and Contracts Management team.
- Collaborate with internal departments, external service providers, and stakeholders to achieve departmental and project goals.
- Support the implementation of new processes and systems.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping and documentation compliance for operational processes.
- Engage with store Operations teams, contractors, and support departments to ensure smooth facility operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric/Grade 12 with NQF 4 in Facilities Management or Project Management (essential).
- NQF 5/6 in Facilities Management (desirable).
- 3–5 years’ experience in Property Management or Project Coordination, preferably within retail property or retail build environments.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.

- Knowledge of retail property principles.
