Butchery Manager

Pick n Pay Careers is seeking an experienced and hands-on Butchery Manager to lead the Butchery department within a corporate store. This role is responsible for planning, organising, directing, and supporting day-to-day operations to achieve departmental and company objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a butcher

Competencies:

• Customer-focused with strong service orientation
• Excellent communication skills
• Business-minded with commercial awareness
• Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
• Understanding of food retail operations
• Strong leadership and team management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Prepare products in line with company guidelines and standards
• Maintain merchandising standards and product presentation
• Ensure hygiene, housekeeping, and food safety compliance
• Accurately complete all administrative tasks related to the butchery
• Drive sales and profitability targets for the department
• Lead, motivate, and develop the team for optimal performance
