Purpose of the Job
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and expanding the customer base across retail, commercial, and industrial sectors. This role focuses on acquiring new clients, managing existing accounts, increasing revenue, and providing tailored solutions to meet diverse customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across multiple sectors.
- Maintain and grow existing customer relationships to secure repeat business.
- Achieve or exceed defined sales targets and KPIs.
- Manage customer credit accounts, payment terms, and follow-up on outstanding payments.
- Present and promote company products and services to current and prospective clients.
- Resolve customer issues and handle objections effectively.
- Monitor and document customer feedback, competitor activity, and pricing trends.
- Execute sales strategies in alignment with broader marketing campaigns.
- Prepare and submit accurate weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Follow assigned daily route plans and ensure timely customer visits.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 5–10 years of relevant sales experience
- Excellent communication skills
