Pick n Pay Clothing is seeking a passionate and energetic Buyer Clothing to join our dynamic team. Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant diploma in Design, Clothing Management, or Retail Management
- Minimum 3 years’ retail buying experience in clothing, preferably girls’ wear
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- SAP knowledge

Key Responsibilities:
Product Planning & Range Development
- Conduct post-season analysis to inform the operating plan
- Develop department-level product mix plans considering customer needs, trends, competitive analysis, and product growth/exit
- Define range structure, tiering, and key price points
- Conduct weekly and monthly performance analyses and develop action plans to achieve departmental KPIs
- Identify in-season opportunities to maximise profit and grow market share
Stock & Supplier Management
- Manage Open to Buy (OTB) to optimise sales and minimise markdowns
- Ensure all confirmed styles are loaded into SAP on time
- Manage critical paths to deliver on-time product launches
- Negotiate effectively with suppliers to achieve/exceed margin targets, including open book and comparative costing
- Review range performance to ensure alignment with departmental strategy and KPIs
Merchandising & Customer Experience
- Execute packaging and in-store signage according to marketing, brand, and promotional strategies
- Conduct regular store and competitor visits to assess product performance, assortment balance, and customer experience
- Adjust ranges as necessary based on insights and trends
- Develop a product proposition that is affordable while emphasising high-quality fabrics and fit
Financial & Operational Management
- Manage departmental expenses within approved budgets
- Reduce waste and implement sustainability strategies in product ranges
- Increase departmental value by executing strategic brand objectives into tangible product strategies
