Introduction

Clicks Group Careers is seeking an energetic Wellness Assistant to deliver exceptional service by providing knowledgeable guidance and basic advice on healthcare, nutrition, and supplementation. This role focuses on maximising sales, building customer loyalty, and creating positive in-store experiences through proactive customer engagement.

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Objectives
Customer Service & Product Advice

  • Deliver exceptional customer service through strong in-store visibility and proactive engagement based on sound knowledge of healthcare and supplement products.
  • Consult with customers to provide suitable guidance on healthcare, nutrition, and supplement solutions aligned to individual needs.

Sales Performance & Growth

  • Drive healthcare sales in line with targets by promoting a wide range of brands and applying effective cross-selling and up-selling techniques to increase profitability.
  • Support ongoing promotions and campaigns to grow category performance and customer engagement.

Stock Management & Availability

  • Ensure high stock availability in healthcare aisles by adhering to stock management principles and procedures.
  • Reduce wastage through correct stock rotation practices and expiry management.
  • Prevent stock losses by following all risk management policies and procedures.

Merchandising & Store Standards

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness to create an appealing shopping environment for customers.
  • Support product merchandising in line with merchandising guidelines and store procedures.
  • Adhere to all store standard operating procedures to ensure consistent service delivery.

Learning & Knowledge Sharing

  • Continuously build product knowledge and share key product information with relief staff to ensure continuity of service and consistent customer advice.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Job Knowledge
Essential: Basic knowledge of health, fitness, and supplement products
Essential: Understanding of retail operations, including stock management, merchandising, and risk management

Job-Related Skills
Essential: Strong communication and customer interaction skills
Essential: Customer and service orientation
Essential: Selling and merchandising skills
Desirable: Basic computer literacy

Job Experience
Essential: At least one year of relevant experience
Essential: Experience with sports nutrition and vitamin-related products
Essential: Selling skills and customer service training

Education
Essential: Matric
Essential: English pass
Essential: Pass in Life Science or Physics
Desirable: Sports, fitness, or nutrition-related qualification
