About the Role

The Technical Trainee participates in a hands-on, structured program designed to develop technical expertise in packaging operations, equipment maintenance, and process optimization. This role provides exposure to projects, problem-solving, and leadership opportunities within AB InBev.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the theory, principles, operation, and maintenance of packaging equipment across the Packaging Hall.
• Participate in packaging projects aligned with program objectives and brewery priorities.
• Apply VPO (Supply Excellence) principles to drive operational excellence.
• Diagnose systemic and situational problems and perform troubleshooting.
• Engage in packaging team structures, including acting roles in identified leadership positions.
• Communicate learnings, insights, and solutions effectively across various levels of the business.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum BSc, BEng, or B-Tech qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and interest in maintenance, reliability, or engineering problem-solving.
• Packaging experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Legal work authorization (full citizenship) in South Africa.
• Geographical mobility within South Africa.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
