About the Program
Value Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented Back Door Specialist to optimise operations at assigned store and distribution centre back doors. This role focuses on ensuring efficient stock handling, resolving operational issues, and maintaining strong relationships with back door teams and Value operations.

Purpose of the Job
The Back Door Specialist is responsible for visiting allocated stores and distribution centres, monitoring processes, addressing operational challenges, and ensuring compliance and efficiency in all back door activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with back door teams at stores and distribution centres
• Conduct visits to each assigned back door at least once per month
• Understand and monitor processes from receipt to dispatch, including returns, ensuring smooth stock flow and compliance
• Maintain and update back door and distribution centre requirements on a monthly basis
• Support back door teams by addressing operational issues and coordinating resolutions with Value operations
• Ensure actions are completed within set deadlines
• Monitor and improve turnaround times at back doors
• Manage bookings efficiently and escalate potential delays affecting vehicle offloading
• Drive the adoption of technology and system integrations to enhance back door procedures and efficiency
• Implement procedures to minimise stock returns

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field beneficial
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail and distribution centre back door operations, including audits and resolving offloading delays
• Own reliable transport
