Management Accountant – Fidelity Vacancies

Purpose of the Role

The Management Accountant is responsible for preparing and reporting accurate financial information in a timely manner, managing financial risks, and acting as a trusted business partner to the relevant business unit. This role ensures compliance with group policies and accounting standards while driving continuous improvement in financial reporting and business processes.

Key Responsibilities

Budget & Financial Management

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for the business unit and Group.
  • Apply financial tools to support business planning and achieve objectives.
  • Identify financial deviations, report them, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure all accounting principles are consistently applied and monitored.
  • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Continuously improve the quality and accuracy of financial reporting.

Process Improvement and Efficiency

  • Review key performance areas to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Challenge existing processes to enhance business sustainability.
  • Ensure current standards are relevant and recommend best practices.
  • Suggest system improvements and quantify the benefits of proposed changes.

Customer Service Delivery – Corporate

  • Build strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations in alignment with the financial strategy.
  • Identify business needs and implement improvements or provide actionable recommendations.

People Management

  • Manage personal development through performance management and talent management processes.
  • Seek training and feedback to enhance performance.
  • Mentor and coach new employees as required.
  • Demonstrate adherence to the Group’s values and leadership standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • CIMA qualification with 5+ years’ experience, or BCom (Honours) with 5+ years’ experience.
  • Strong personal accountability and responsibility for departmental outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and mentor junior staff.
  • Regularly communicate with line manager and recommend efficiency improvements.
