Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is building a Beauty Therapist Talent Pool to create a ready pipeline of pre-screened professionals for future opportunities across its stores. This talent pool supports ongoing and upcoming staffing needs within the Beauty Salons.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• 2-year relevant National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Minimum 12 months’ technical/practical experience in a professional beauty salon environment
• Computer literate
• Sound numerical skills
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• 3-year relevant National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Minimum 3 years’ technical/practical experience in a professional beauty salon environment

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent salon experience to all customers
• Perform facials, waxing, massages, manicures, and pedicures in line with company standards
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and compliments professionally
• Stay updated on new products, treatments, and service techniques
• Manage salon stock levels according to operational requirements
• Ensure all equipment is operational, hygienic, and maintained at all times

Competencies

Essential:

• General knowledge of skin anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for skin and body treatments
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal
• Team player with strong customer relations skills
• Deadline and target driven

Advantageous:

• Experience with soft laser, bio-magnetic therapy, microdermabrasion, slimming treatments, and spray tanning
• Training on laser or additional salon equipment
• Bilingual

Special Conditions of Employment

• Willing and able to work retail hours
• Willing and able to travel to and from the store
• Physically fit to perform massage, facial, and body treatments
• South African citizen
• Clear credit and criminal records
