About the Program:

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a dedicated Cosmetic Consultant for their Greenvalley store. The role focuses on promoting and selling Dis-Chem cosmetic and beauty products through exceptional and consistent customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Retail experience as a sales consultant
• Computer literate
• Willingness to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• Experience in cosmetics, fragrances, and/or beauty

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a high level of customer care and service
• Escalate serious or unresolved customer complaints to management
• Demonstrate products through makeovers, cosmetics demonstrations, promotions, and activities
• Manage stock levels and report on short, damaged, or expired stock
• Ensure merchandising and displays are attractive and engaging
• Maximise store income by achieving department, brand, and vendor sales targets
• Stay updated on products, brands, and industry trends
• Manage cosmetic and beauty promotions, including salon appointments
• Adhere to Dis-Chem policies, SOPs, and health and safety regulations

Competencies:

Essential:

• Strong command of English (written and oral)
• Team player with excellent customer service skills
• Ability to interpret stock reports and sales targets, including commission calculations
• Ability to follow a structured task schedule

Advantageous:

• Knowledge of promotions, personal selling, and product knowledge
• Previous sales and promotional training
• Experience managing expired or damaged stock and ensuring stock rotation
• Bilingual
• Stock management skills

Special Conditions of Employment:

• Willingness to work retail hours
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
• South African citizenship
• Clear credit and criminal records
