Introduction

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Operations Manager based in Robertville, reporting to the Area Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing multiple client sites, ensuring the effective delivery of security services, managing operational performance, and maintaining strong client relationships. The position also focuses on staff management, fleet coordination, expense control, and ensuring compliance with all site and contractual requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • PSIRA Grade A registration
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable own transport
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the security industry
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an operational security management role
  • Sound knowledge of the Firearms Control Act and firearm competency for business purposes
  • Proven experience in staff management
  • Advanced computer literacy with strong knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite
  • Clear criminal record with no pending cases
  • Strong planning, administrative, and client liaison skills
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication abilities
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Manage allocated client sites to ensure all contractual obligations are met
  • Ensure all Security Officers comply with site-specific and contractual requirements
  • Continuously evaluate service levels and recommend improvements where necessary
  • Supervise and manage security personnel to maintain optimal performance standards
  • Handle all operational administrative functions efficiently
  • Liaise daily with branch and regional management on operational matters
  • Address and resolve HR and IR-related issues promptly and effectively
  • Implement and manage disciplinary procedures when required
  • Ensure timely submission of operational, incident, and management reports
  • Conduct investigations into incidents and provide detailed reports
  • Plan proactively for site operations and client requirements
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2008 standards and processes
  • Oversee fleet usage and control operational expenses
