Introduction

Fidelity Vacancies is seeking a skilled Alarm Technician to join our West Coast team. This role focuses on the installation, programming, maintenance, and service of domestic alarm systems, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and meet company standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric certificate
• 3–5 years’ experience as an alarm technician
• Experience in programming, wiring, installations, and fault-finding
• PSIRA Grade C registration
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of DSC, FBI, CADDX, IDS, Paradox, and Texecom systems
• Basic knowledge of CCTV, intercom systems, and access control is advantageous
• Experience with Listener systems is beneficial

Key Responsibilities

• Install, program, and maintain domestic alarm systems
• Conduct service calls, maintenance, and repairs of alarm systems
• Perform on-site programming, testing, and basic fault finding
• Install radio communication devices as required
• Re-program alarm systems for takeovers or upgrades
• Complete handovers, quotations, invoices, and job cards accurately
• Link new client systems and ensure proper commissioning
• Assist clients with technical issues, complaints, and inquiries
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform at all times
• Ensure company vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and inspected before use
• Report all vehicle or technical faults to the Senior Supervisor, Installations
• Conduct stock control checks and vehicle, electrical, and ladder inspections
• Provide feedback and technical reports to management
