Job Description

Purpose of the Role:
The Creditors Supervisor is responsible for managing the full Accounts Payable (AP) function, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of invoices, payments, reconciliations, and vendor management. This role leads the AP team, maintains strong internal controls, and supports financial reporting and month-end processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop AP staff, conduct performance reviews, and manage workflows efficiently.
• Process Oversight: Ensure all invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time, managing daily departmental operations.
• Vendor Relations: Act as the main point of contact for vendors, maintain strong relationships, and resolve discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Financial Accuracy: Review and approve invoices and payments, reconcile accounts, and maintain a complete and accurate accounts payable ledger.
• Compliance and Controls: Implement and enforce internal controls, ensure adherence to company policies, and maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular AP reports, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, finance, and other departments to streamline processes and support overall financial objectives.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree or qualification in accounting, finance, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounts payable
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with SAP and Coupa
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Strong organizational abilities and high attention to detail
