Job Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a qualified and passionate Beauty Therapist to join their salon team. The role involves promoting a wide range of skincare and body treatments while delivering exceptional service and professional care to clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a high-quality salon experience and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 2-year relevant National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Minimum of 12 months’ practical experience in a professional beauty salon
• Computer literate
• Strong numerical skills
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• 3-year relevant National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy
• Minimum of 3 years’ practical experience in a professional beauty salon

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional salon experience to all customers
• Perform treatments including facials, waxing, massages, manicures, and pedicures in line with company standards
• Address customer queries, complaints, and feedback professionally
• Stay updated on new products, treatments, and techniques
• Monitor and manage salon stock levels effectively
• Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and maintained according to hygiene standards

Competencies

Essential:

• Knowledge of skin anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for treatments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well within a team
• Target-driven and able to meet deadlines

Advantageous:

• Experience with soft laser, bio-magnetic therapy, microdermabrasion, slimming treatments, and spray tanning
• Additional training on laser or advanced salon equipment
• Bilingual communication skills
